INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 18, 2017) – Tuesday night in Indianapolis was the perfect setting for the Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Margaret Glaspy at the Hi-Fi. Chris Morrisey accompanied her on bass, and Tim Kuhl was on drums for the raw yet intimate set. It was beautiful to witness the audience respect the artist by being fully engaged to emotionally powerful set.
Margaret grew up in Red Bluff, California, and it was her diverse musical background that led her to the east coast. Her musical prowess was on display with her bluesy electric guitar and ranging vocals. The delivery of her brutally introspective lyrics was with a blend of light and jagged vocals.
The three-piece performed the title track from her latest release Emotions And Math, which was mixed by Shawn Everett. The song gave the audience a window into her struggle with the insecurities of longing. Another great performance came when they went into the bluesy Memory Street. Finally, her vocal range was on full display with the moving Ex-Factor, which left some in the crowd in awe and others cheering along with the emotional delivery.
Furthermore, Margaret is currently on tour supporting the album Emotions and Math. There are plenty of U.S. and a few Canadian and UK dates. Be sure to catch her show if she is performing in a venue near you. For more info on her tour, you can check out her website.
